Iyengar, 07.12.1944. &#8211; 16.12.2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moja prva sje\u0107anja na Gitu Iyengar su njezine sjajne o\u010di. Veli\u010danstvene, tople i suosje\u0107ajne o\u010di. O\u010di koje su sve primijetile i ni\u0161ta nisu propustile! Njezin je glas bio bariton koji je tjerao njezine u\u010denike da se uzdignu iznad rutine vje\u017ebanja do vi\u0161ih uspona i zarone do dubljih dubina u <em>Yog\u0101sanama<\/em>. Njezin dolazak i prisutnost izazvali bi bujicu aktivnosti, a onda bi se ti\u0161ina spustila u dvoranu. Ti\u0161ina i\u0161\u010dekivanja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mogla je vatreno podu\u010davati mega joga sat sa vi\u0161e od tisu\u0107u u\u010desnika, ili nje\u017eno popraviti studenta na satu terapije. Mogla je u dva sata pro\u0107i kroz pet poza, a mogla je u isto to vrijeme podu\u010davati pedeset. Bila je poput majke, ne samo njezinoj familiji, ve\u0107 i tisu\u0107ama studenata u Iyengar joga zajednici &#8211; starijima, srednjih godina, mladima i djeci.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/geeta-and-abhijata.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1693\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/geeta-and-abhijata.jpg 900w, https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/geeta-and-abhijata-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/geeta-and-abhijata-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><figcaption>Gita podu\u010dava &#8211; Utthita Trikonasana<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Meni osobno je bila velika inspiracija &#8211; njezina jasno\u0107a, perceptivnost, izravnost, o\u0161troumnost, trezvenost, dubina, devocija, posjedovanje ogromnog obima znanja, kako asana tako i filozofije; njezina zarazna naelektriziranost podu\u010davanja, \u017ear, vatrenost, predanost, posve\u0107enost, po\u017ertvovanost; njezina toplina, njezin humor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kao mlada, napad nefritisa ostavio ju je suo\u010den s vjerojatno\u0161\u0107u kratkog, intenzivno medikaliziranog postojanja. No njezina joga praksa joj je preokrenula \u017eivot i postala je briljantna u\u010diteljica. U vi\u0161e navrata je napomenula da joj je joga poklonila njene godine \u017eivota.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"182\" src=\"https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/geeta-iyengar.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1695\"\/><figcaption>Janu Sirsasana<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Iako je zadnjih godina njeno zdravlje polako popu\u0161talo i tijelo je bilo slabije, a pokretanje je bilo sve bolnije, ona se i dalje davala, \u017eele\u0107i podijeliti svoje znanje sa studentima. I kada bi Gita-ji (Gita\u0111i) po\u010dela predavati, u njoj bi se desila transformacija, da bi rijetko tko mogao povezati tu lavicu na podiju sa krhkim i slabim tijelom kojem su pomogli da dodje na podij.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tako, iako bolesna, Gita Iyengar je odr\u017eala svoje zadnje podu\u010davanje, svoju labudovu pjesmu, svoju po\u010dast njezinom ocu i guru-u BKS Iyengaru, na nedavno odr\u017eanoj proslavi sto-godi\u0161njice BKS Iyengara, kojoj je prisustvovalo preko 1200 studenata iz 56 zemalja.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/abhijata-and-geeta-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1691\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/abhijata-and-geeta-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/abhijata-and-geeta-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/abhijata-and-geeta-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/abhijata-and-geeta-768x767.jpg 768w, https:\/\/iyengaryoga.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/abhijata-and-geeta.jpg 1112w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>Gita i Abi\u0111ata<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gita Iyengar ostavlja iza sebe veliko naslije\u0111e i neispunjivu prazninu. Napisala je knjigu joge za \u017eene pod nazivom \u201cJoga &#8211; dragulj za \u017eene\u201d, a ona sama je bila tako rijedak nezamijenjiv dragulj.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gita-ji je oti\u0161la, tiho, mirno, u dru\u0161tvu svoje obitelji. Napustila je svoje tijelo u ranim jutarnjim satima, za vrijeme \u2018<em>Brahma Muhurte<\/em>\u2019 (povoljno vrijeme dana kojim vlada guna vrline) u le\u017ee\u0107em joga polo\u017eaju na bolsteru da bi olak\u0161ala disanje. Ja sam bila svjedok samo minijaturnog dijela njezinog \u017eivota, ali bih se usudila re\u0107i da su i njezin \u017eivot i njezina smrt bili izvanredni.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neizmjerno \u0107e nam nedostajati. In fact, knowledge has a beginning but no end. This is all the more true of Yoga. One\u2019s progress in this field depends entirely on one\u2019s inner strength and endurance. One need not feel disheartened if progress is slow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">A pure mind and a right intention are necessary. Hence Yoga must be done gradually whilst watching one\u2019s own progress so that it brings inner purification.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>***<\/strong><br> \u201cWhenever we find stiffness in the body, our mind should be especially supple.
